I get asked a lot about the process of custom invitations and the invitation timeline. So, I thought I would write a quick post to fill you in on Paper Fling’s process so that you can be prepared and informed!
The client’s initial design consultation will take place over the phone or in person at our studio in Kirkland, WA. At this meeting you and your designer will discuss your design ideas, colors, graphics and invitation timeline. You will receive a quote via email from your designer the same day which will break down the pricing.
Place Your Order
Once you have placed your order, you will be sent a link to your client portal where you will be able to digitally sign your contract and fill out wording worksheets. Your designer will also email you over any additional resources you may need such as font options, address templates, etc.
One of the best things about working with Paper Fling is that we provide you with an extensive proofing process that includes an actual print proof. We include up to 1 print proof and 3 PDF digital proofs for each order to make sure that everything is right. Your initial digital proof will be emailed within 5 business days of wording worksheet submittal. Make sure to pay attention to details – colors, grammar, dates/times, etc. You are responsible for giving us the final sign off before we go to print. The invitation timeline may change based on how quickly you do or don’t approve proofs!
Once your proof is perfect, it is time to give us your final approval. You will need to give us a final quantity as well as your guest addresses (if you have ordered address printing) at this time. We ask that you pay the balance on your order when you give us your final approval.
Once your order is approved, we will begin the printing and production process.
UPS ground shipping is included with all wedding invitation orders over $500. You can choose other options such as expedited shipping or on-site pick up if needed.
